Today is a special day in Mechanicsburg when the Kiwanis Club of Upper Allen holds one of their primary fundraisers of the year involving blueberries! The 190 family of scouting units (Pack 190, Troop 190, and Crew 190) are on-hand ready to lend a hand!
On the morning of June 26th,
we helped unload four pallets of blueberries that arrived on a refrigerated truck from New Jersey at the Mechanicsburg Museum. Volunteers from the Kiwanis Club as well as a few others unloaded the boxes and carefully lined them up in the museum. More than 500 boxes in total were made ready for pick up.
Starting at 12:30 PM until 6:00 PM, our scouts and venturers will assist in loading purchases into vehicles. It’s a great way to give back, get involved with our local community, and help our charter organization who has supported us for years.
